Negotiating Culture: Intersection of Culture and Violence against Women in Asia Pacific presents the Report of the Asia Pacific NGO Consultation with the UN Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women, Yakin Erturk, held in Mongolia, in September 2006. The report details the proceedings of the consultation and provides in depth presentations on different aspects of ‘culture’ and its effect on women and violence against women as well as sets out effective strategies for addressing culture at the community, national and international level.
