On the first anniversary of the US war in Iraq, let us
link arms with the people's of the world in denouncing
the continuing brutal US-British occupation of Iraq and
other US wars of aggression and intervention worldwide.

The broad peace movement in the Philippines
that came alive last year to call for an end to the
war on Iraq and military offensives in Mindanao must
once more rise up in protest. We must all join the
rest of the world’s peoples in the resounding
call: End
US-British Occupation of Iraq!
On March 20 “Day of Prayer and Protest”,
there will be an interfaith prayer assembly cum protest
action. This will be from 9:30 am to12 noon, at the
Bonifacio Monument in Liwasang Bonifacio, City of
Manila.

As the Thai government sent a fresh
batch of 400 soldiers in Iraq yesterday to support
the US war in Iraq, different groups and individuals
under the banner of United for Peace-Chiang Mai join
the millions of people all over the world in calling
for an end to war in Iraq and an end to all wars for
profit and power. The group also joins the Thai people’s
call for the withdrawal of Thai troops in Iraq.
The
United for Peace-Chiangmai marks March 20
as the day of “Wan Bupa Proy Praey (The Day
of the Fluttering of Flowers)”, as they ride
their bicycles and motorbikes around the city with
flowers and balloons. The flowers are for the Thai
soldiers and the others who died in the continuing
war in Iraq, and the balloons are to be flown to
express solidarity with the peoples over the world
in protest.

Tamil Nadu Women’s Forum / Tamil Nadu
Dalit Women’s Movement joined with other unorganized
sectors to protest against US, British occupation
on IRAG.
The leaders from various people’s movements joined
together stood in different places in different villages
distributing handbills to show solidarity with Global
action day ‘March 20’.
Calling U.S.and British to leave Iraq.
Same day on March 20 last year U.S. bombarded Iraq.
Thousands of Iraq people women, children were killed
and the war destroyed the infrastructure such as water
system, hospitals, schools, museums. The U.S. British
led troops are unable to find the “weapons of mass
destruction.
We demand U.S. and British military to be withdrawn
immediately from Iraq. We join with others world over
and condemn the occupation of U.S. in Iraq.
We demand that Iraq should rule their land and U.S.
and British to pay for all the Damages done during
and after the war.
We demand Indian Government to withdraw the military
tie up with U.S.
